“Winter is not the death of the life cycle, but its crucible.
It’s a time for reflection and recuperation, for slow replenishment, for putting your house in order.
Doing these deeply unfashionable things — slowing down, letting your spare time expand,
getting enough sleep, resting —is a radical act now, but it’s essential.”

My Dear Readers~
While the winds and rain and long nights are upon us, and the latest variant of the Coronavirus, Omicron, is making its way around the world, we hunker down with work, with loved ones, with hearty soups and warm bread. Now we are accustomed to wearing masks inside common areas, now we are looking for our next booster against the next variant. The Greek Alphabet (so unfair to the Greek Alphabet!) only has twenty-four letters. We are more than half way through it, but I doubt the Coronavirus cares much about its variant names. It will just keep mutating….
It is my pleasure to note here that we have been able to give bonuses to our (fully vaxxed and mostly boosted) employees this year. And even more gratifying is that our managers have cut their bonuses to give their wage-earning staff more. Hooray for generosity~
Onward into a better New Year!
